A new cancer therapy kills over 70 types of cancer without harming healthy cells – a major breakthrough that could change the way we treat cancer.

The targeted therapy, tested in both lab and mouse studies, effectively eliminated various cancers including neuroblastoma, breast cancer, and small-cell lung cancer in mice, marking a significant advancement in cancer research.

The therapy targets a protein called PCNA that is essential for cancer cell growth, and it interferes with a resolution process in cancer cells, making them more vulnerable. 

Next step, human trials. The twice-a-day pill is now being trialed in people.
