Imagine this: Couples of the same sex at birth might be able to have kids who are biologically related to both parents. Or this: Kids with more than two biological parents.

Ideas that once were thought impossible, are now closing in on becoming a reality - and scientists have been able to use genetic engineering to prove same sex parents is possible with mice.

If we are able to reproduce it with humans and overcome ethical hurdles, we may need to rewrite the rules of human reproduction.
