In the last few years, we've gotten better at changing the genes of living things. And now, scientists have made another step towards being able to create genomes from scratch.

Biologists have been able to to create yeast cells that consists of more than 50% synthetic DNA, and it could unlock possibilities to produce yeast that can do things that we’ve never seen before.
