Turning human stem cells into structures resembling embryos was once considered impossible. No longer.

Scientists are now racing to create embryo-like structures using human stem cells to mimic early human development. These "embryoids" can't become fetuses but offer insights into early conception stages. 

Different teams use various methods, including genetic manipulation and stem cell organization, to replicate certain aspects of embryo development.
