We are now close to being able to take any human cell, and turn it into human eggs or sperms. This has the potential to reshape fertility treatments, genetic research, and our understanding of human reproduction.

The possibilities of this technology are close to limitless, and we might not only rethink what a family is, but also what it means to be human.

The ability to take any human cell, and turn it into any other human cell we choose to, will reshape medicine, and has the potential to regenerate new organs, heal injuries, replace parts of us not working, and rejuvenate us. 

What we see happening right now, within regenerative medicine, and the use of induced pluripotent stem cells, will fundamentally reshape what it means to be human in the future.
