What if we could use ants to sniff out cancer? Ants could be trained in only 30 minutes to be able to identify different types of cancer.

Today dogs are used for a number of situations to detect smell, and they also have the ability to detect cancer, but only after 6-12 months of training.

Also, scientists are working on developing electronic noses that mimic the ability to sense smell just like animals.

And as scientists recently have made groundbreaking breakthroughs in understanding and mapping the brain - and as AI is advancing faster than ever - we could soon be entering a brand new era within smelling and sensor technology.
