In just 7 hours, 18 minutes, researchers at Stanford Medicine went from blood sample, sequencing the whole genome, to diagnosis. A record. The first successful attempt to sequence a complete or “whole” human genome, took The Human Genome Project 13 years at a cost of $2.7 billion. Today it's possible to get your whole genome sequenced for a couple of hundred dollars with prices still declining.
