We've been finding disease genes for decades but understanding how they actually work has been slower. AI is starting to decode those mechanisms at a pace we couldn't manage before. 

Researchers used machine learning to figure out protein interactions that control immune balance. This kind of approach could help us understand countless other genetic mysteries. The method itself matters more than any single disease it helps explain.
