Google’s Taara project has developed a tiny chip that beams high-speed internet using light, achieving 20 Gbps over 20 km without wires. Successfully tested in India and Kenya, it offers a cheaper, faster alternative to fiber optics for hard-to-reach areas. 

This could soon bridge the digital divide by connecting millions to reliable internet. In the future, it might reshape global communication, education, and economic opportunities in remote regions.
