For the past decades, the field of regenerative medicine - and the potential of using stem cells to treat and cure diseases, to regenerate organs or develop personalized healthcare - have been subject to aspirations and dreams. 

Lately we have seen numerous examples of amazing progress in the field. Another one is on the horizon: industrial-scale stem cells.

A synthetic biology company has  developed a way to engineer stem cells with unprecedented consistency, potentially revolutionizing regenerative medicine.
