Researchers have successfully created synthetic embryos from stem cells, resembling real embryos up to a certain stage of development. 

These synthetic embryo models could provide valuable insights into early human development and help understand genetic disorders.

Although the ethical and regulatory implications are still being debated, the potential for these synthetic embryo models to advance research, potentially aid in organ transplantation, and contribute to understanding developmental processes is substantial.
