Scientists are using the same technology that powers large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT to understand genetics better. These DNA language models are trained on large amounts of DNA sequences to find patterns and insights. 

Just as ChatGPT can do many tasks, DNA language models can predict things like how genes work together or how mutations happen in DNA. They can even help us learn about how parts of DNA that were once considered useless actually interact with each other. 

These models are helping biologists study genes, diseases, and even design new proteins. While they can sometimes make mistakes, they are valuable tools for advancing genetic research and understanding the secrets of life on Earth.
